Rather than all the convoluted steps necessary to embed a thumbnail to a link to a picture, how about Drew and/or Langdon just code up a new "forum code" tag that automatically embeds a thumbnail that links to the photo page? It's not that the process is hard, but why not make it easy?
Something along the lines of:
[thumb]34877[/thumb]
would "do the right thing" to insert the appropriate HTML to show the thumbnail fo image 34877, and when clicked on, open the "view photo" page... that way, all anybody would need to do is look in the Address Bar for the IMAGE_ID and put it between [thumb] tags... |

great idea!! I'm sorry I didn't think of it. Though in the mean time, between bod's forum code post and calvus' update of it, I think even the slowest among are given enough handholding to manage it.
