It could also be an astor, but i'm not sure if it's of the wide, harry, narrow, or jack varieties.

They're much easier to identify if we can see leaves and stem, know how high they grow, type of soil, etc :)

eta;

Not to mention what country/area of country and whether it's cultivated or wild :D

When I ran it through the magnification process I noticed that Krisby's fingerprints looked familiar, so I ran a check and sure enough, she is wanted by Interpol.

Don't worry, Kristbjörg, I won't rat you out.

I think the jm must be an example of the smart variety? ;)

I think the scientific name is "Inhandus petalis" but I may be wrong.

Lol, yup, you may be wrong, Ken. Mainly because those long yellow "petals" are really individual flowers, as are each of the little yellow segments in the middle!
This family of flowers used to be called Compositae but apparently has been renamed Asteraceae. Daisies, asters and sunflowers are in this family, and Krisby's is some sort of daisy. I just don't know which... YET!

I thought for sure the nametag would've killed the thread. Well, a "Penelope" by any other name...

I am hoping to see nametags on all the entries in the Flowers challenge!

But what if you find a shy little wallflower who won't tell you her name?

I believe it is a variety of coreopsis.

Looks like a "garden variety" chysanthemum. I tried to narrow it down more, but there are thousands of varieties and hybrids.

Tell his mum she's got a mum;)
