I've finally been through the entire submission, voting, anxiousness and excitement that comes from the DPChallenge process.

I loved this site from the very first time I browsed it. I've been visiting it regularly, but never actually submitted anything. I'm so glad that I finally did it.

DPC is exactly what I have been looking for ever since I first bought a camera. It gives me clear goals that keep me shooting and trying new things each week.

And also it gives real-world feedback on my photographs. I've seen the forums where people complain that some of the voting is skewed, and also that comments aren't always relevant to learning.
But either way, the feedback does reveal what sort of reaction you are provoking with your photos.

That's what is important to me. I like the fact that I have a broad audience for my photos. I don't think I'll ever be able to have a career in photography, but now I can make it something more than just a mere hobby for my own amusement.

Here is the photo I entered:

And here is an edit I did of that photo after the challenge was over:

Thank you to those who voted and commented.

Please take a look at my portfolio - I'd love more comments. There aren't that many photos in there yet, because I'm actually travelling in the UK until July, but when I get back home, I'll definitely be posting more.

Can't wait for the next challenge...
