I dont know if it would be possible, because you would have to check through every entry. But i think it would be cool if you had a challenge in which it was completly open (like a free study), but the photo had to have been taken prior to becoming a registered member of DPC. This would not only show how much DPC has helped some of the members get a lot beter, but I for one, have some photos that I really wish I had taken when I was a member here. |

What do you mean with: taken prior to becoming a member?

A photo you took before you became a member at DPC. Which leaves me with lots of interesting options :-)

How about a photo taken prior to when DPC existed? Does anyone have any digital pictures taken back then (I think I might have some).
Will be interesting contrasting the improvement (or lack thereof) given the advances in technology over the years. |

That leaves me out. I found DPC and then went and bought my camera. |

You missed the best of 2002 challenge this year, which was the year DPC started, I think...

Let me clairfy that...Prior to becoming a DPC user, not a DPC member. |

I think I got my Olympus around the end of 2000.
This is from September 12, 2001 (yes, we were supposed to go the previous day):

I got my Nikon Coolpix 880 in 2000 as well. I loved that camera (my dad uses it now). Still takes great pictures after all these years (IT does, I sometimes mess them up...) and despite its 3.14 megapixels.
It's a pity I missed that 2002 challenge. Although I can't recall whether that was a good year for me photowise, or not :-)
I'll post some pics from it as soon as I get home next month (travelling on business in the UK at the moment). Might even be a cool idea for a thread... "Retro" digital photos... :-) |
