Legal for basic challenges (for the diehard DPCr's). ;^)

Aha! I knew someone would come up with some justification.

Now wait til I see the look on my wife's face when I tell her I want another "baby"...

That's the stuff I would buy the Lensbaby for.

I know I overdid it a bit but it was my first try with the action so I had fun :0)

Now I must retract my previous statement regarding having never seen a Lensbaby photo that I liked.

Wow... that portfolio makes me realize.... AARgh, I suck. I recently got a Lensbaby, and have been having a fun time with it, but nothing spectacular. Yet. I hope.

Another reason for LB: it's faster than screwing around in pshop until you get the look you're going after.

Plus, it's fun to watch people get a funny look on their face when they see your lens moving around sideways like some droopy muppet appendage.

I like the stuff in the KRAS gallery, but I believe there are a lot of composite images there and a lot of extra things beyond the original, which is fine, but it's not documented in his stuff...

ps - GREAT pics btw, John and Cindi. Many may be hard to duplicate exactly in post-proc, but not all of us can be real photographers. :)

Less post project work.

Yes I know, they're just flowers.

Gimme a break, I managed to get SOMETHING in focus here, folks, I am thrilled!!

possibly not the best place for a lensbaby, in a challenge - but it was new, and i was having fun. i took over 30 shots of this trunk, and 1 had the focus in the right place. takes a lot of getting used to...

o, and i did get quite a lot of comments in the 'would be nice if it was n focus' vein.

I just read through your comments on that photo and it was entertaining to see what was said regarding the post processing... lol

xianart,

I loved your shot. I have seen some stunning lensbaby shots but I guess you love 'em or hate 'em. I'd have to say I love 'em! On my list of things to get for my new 'baby' when I get it. Hoping to get a D50 very soon...

PS I just saw the title of your green entry, LMAO. My friend and I thought of that immediately when we saw the upcoming challenge topic. Good 'ole 'Bladder' :-)

Don't buy the macro kit just yet. You may be better off with extension tubes that you can use with other lenses as well. I haven't had the chance to test mine yet but I intend to do it this weekend.
