panning and motion blur is not the same, I guess.
Just hope those non-panning shots (hint: all blurry) pics dont get shot down like planes in no-fly zones during the voting period! lol |

Surely the difference between motion blur and motion panning is the "panning".
In the previous challenge we were moving the camera to get the motion effect, but in motion blur I assume you keep the camera still and the motion in the scene gives the effect of motion.
My 2c worth anyway. |

The Motion Panning was specific to panning. Motion Blur II is wide open to any type of motion, just make it creative, and in camera. |

pidge, what I meant was - panning is part of motion blur, and motion blur is not restricted to only motion panning. An all motion blur photo is not motion panning, but it will fit this challenge because it is still motion blur :)

I had a nightmare last night - about dreams that is. Every shot was of a "dreamy" waterfall ;O |

Stop shooting the frozen water drop and show something that's blurred in you picture due to motion in some angle (foreground, subject, background or whatever else you can think of). Stop shooting the boring pictures.
That's how I read it :) |

Not being a full paying member I can't enter this one, though I would really love to. Try to teach this one as one of the basic "tricks". I wounder though, would Rear Curtain Sync be acceptable for this challenge? |

Not sure I want to enter this one. I don't want to do the typical bird, bug, waterfall, motion pan, or star trail. I dont know. I tried a few things but I am not totally happy with the result. It's entered but its not a "wow" to me. :( At least I have a few more days to try something but I don't know. |

I can't see why it wouldn't be. It's just another lighting technique, right? |

Rear, front, and anywhere in between would be acceptable. Creative lighting techniques are always an added bonus :) |

Oh man, I hope I have a good shot (have not looked yet).
- Took a day off
- Got up at 5.30 in the morning (on my day off)
- Drove 400km today
- Made 1000 exposures (528 keepers selected while shooting 8 hours)
- Now have to fetch a good one out of 528 photos
Edit: And I had my VR on.
