On another forum I frequent (a general chit-chat type forum) I provide a "site of the day". I am running out of sites so I thought I would ask here for some suggestions. It can be an educational, funny, weird, informative or whatever site. It doesn't have to be about any specific subject but I would prefer not to link to any sites with a lot of adult content (some is ok).
So, give me your interesting websites. Thanks!

LOL.....thanks, I've used all of those (in fact I've been entering photo contests at Worth for a couple of years). I've been posting this site of the day for over a year, so I've found a lot of really good, interesting websites, like those.

The Internet Archive/Wayback Machine
Earthcam Network
Lonny Shavelson, Photojournalist
Planetary Photojournal -- NASA Image Library
The Photographer's Right -- downloadable summary of your legal rights (USA) as a photgrapher.
Nolo Press -- self-help legal books; copyright, business practices, incorporation, landlord/tenant law, etc. They even have a book on Dog Law!
OEDILF -- dictionary in limerick form
Project Gutenberg -- free, public-domain eBooks -- most "classics" are already there; if not, you can volunteer to help.
BBspot -- tech/geek humor. It was through their "links of the week" feature that I first found DPC, so you know they have "good taste" (NOT always!) |

Rasterbator - The Rasterbator is a web service which creates huge, rasterized images from any picture. The rasterized images can be printed and assembled into extremely cool looking posters up to 20 meters in size -> very very cool!

Wooooo hoooo!
My drawing skills never even made to Kindergarten level, yet I just drew a pig (inside 20 seconds and using my mouse!!) that is totally recognizable.
You made my day! |

It's in the thread options drop down box at the top. Same way you ignore one. |

random website dot com
At this site, every time you click, it takes you to a random website. A lot of junk, but sometimes you run across something interesting :-)

Some great sites there, I'd say I've only seen about 25% of them. Keep them coming, and thanks!

//www.logmein.com
This is a very useful website if you help friends out on their PC's but they live quite far away from you.
You create a free account on their website, download some software, set it up on their PC and when you are at home, on the other side of the world you can connect into their computer and actually see their desktop.
Excellent remote administration tool, I have it installed at home, my aunts, my laptop at the girlfrinds house etc so if I need any files or someone needs help I log into the logmein.com website and can connect up in seconds.
As for security issues, I work in IT and have no issues at all with it :-)

Hope it's not to cheeky to give my mum's website:
//www.mamtaskitchen.com
Lots and lots of recipes, mostly Indian but some from elsewhere too, some info on festivals of India, some tips on cooking Indian food and a chat forum to ask for advice. If you follow the About thread you'll see it started as a way for us to share recipes and has now ended up a busy and popular site. Mum is really proud of it and so she should be, I reckon! (PS other than googleads to cover hosting costs it's non-commercial so I'm not recommending it to make money or anything...)
