Well tonight I am going to do Stand-Up comedy for the first time...I̢۪m a bit nervous, but feel when I get on stage it will all go away. I did a lot of theater so I̢۪m use to standing up in front of many people, but those times I had the security of hiding behind a character...this time they will be calling out my name and I will be myself not some wacky guy in a play. Just wondering is anyone else as every done this before...a lot of people say they want to but never do it, so this is my time so later in life I can say I did it...and I hope I̢۪m funny!!

My wife will record it on my new Casio Z1000...the video on that thing is awesome...and I'll have to see how good I do before I will do any posting.

Just think of yourself sitting in the audience and watching YOU! You wouldn't let YOURSELF down, now would ya?? I was a theatre major and when I told this to the class, they thought it was a great idea! It works too, because you are your own worst critic. Break a leg!! |

hey- good luck - or break a leg;
I have fronted a rock band for several years and my between song banter is the closest I come to standup.
I do have a series of jokes about little people and where do they find condoms, and If you want you can use a series of "I like my women like I like my coffee lines" interspersed with your act...
if things go really bad just start drinking heavily and babbling. |

After 114 challenge entries at DPC....he leaves himself open for a nasty zinger! (But it won't come from me...uh, unh....no....shakes head...)

that actually sounds like alot of fun. get some laughs and good memories. its an honorable thing to make some laugh and be happy. Just make sure what is making them laugh is not degrading the beauty of laughter.

Well I'll quote a line from a play I did back in high school. "It's not good, but it's not bad either"...haha. To be perfectly honest I'm semi proud of my performance and think I got enough laughs to make me feel good about it overall. Now it's up to you to tell me...but if you hate it...keep it to yourself...haha.
