When in mexico City, if you can, take a day trip to Teotihuacán. Be sure to bring water, a hat and lots of sunscreen when you go. Really neat stuff
If you can get into the main Theatre in Mexico City (Bellas Artes I believe), go and try and get in to the theater. Sometimes they will lower their special curtain which is made of Tiffany glass. Absolutely spectacular
If I recall correctly. there is some neat stuff just off the Zocolo, or main square as well that was full of photo ops
Also check out the museum of Archeology. They had some really beautiful stuff when I was there. I really wanted to see the Mayan wing but it was closed.
In Sao Paolo I remember there being some beautiful parks, but I have no diea what they were called or where they were. I went to their Japantown which had lots of neat little streets, vendors, and food as well. It is apparently the largest or second largest Japanese community outside of Japan. It was several years ago I went to Sao Paolo, so my memory of it is a little hazy
Never been to Rio, sorry!
Don't drink the tap water, and only eat the fruits that you can peel (the mangows and papayas were delicious!). Bring some Immodium anyways (I got sick in Mexico even though I took all the normal precautions)
The flight I took to Sao Paolo had those little individual movie screens so it wasn't too bad a flight :) Plus it wasn't full so if you were lucky you could lay down and sleep
I'm jealous! I'd love to go back to either city, and I've been wanting to go to Rio for a long time. Have fun and show us your pictures when you get back :D
