i think this is a great idea as well. i don't think it excludes the "competition" as so many have griped about, but displays the up and coming photography field that is taking the industry by storm. there's so much young talent on this website, it's unbelievable. regardless of equipment, the young have proven to overcome and put forth great images.
i think this is a great idea, and back it 100%. i'd vote/comment on each entry personally. i'd love to see this. |

Perhaps some of the under 21 photographers would like the competition bfox2 posted about in this thread yesterday. Some pretty serious prizes.
How about some of you folks who are so much in favor of age restricted competitions talking the sponsors into putting up equal prizes in a Senior Citizens Photography Contest?

I dont think it's so much about a challenge that will showcase the less experienced or less talented or underappreciated but just a type of collected group like people from a certain country or gender. I think if it is presented like something special for younger people then sure older people will likely resent that. No doubt a lot of people think some younger people like Joey may be overly worshipped as it is and just see an under-21 challenge as a way to bow down to him. I dont think under 21's or any other group deserve special treatment and I see a challenge like this not as special treatment but just something to base another challenge on. Like all people with brown eyes or green eyes or three eyes.
