What are you planning on doing with this tripod that your sig nif shouldn't know about?

Nifty. Where'd you find such a good deal?
05/18/2006 10:48:40 AM · #14
Does she know how much these cost? She's gonna see it sooner or later, so might as well show her and just leave it at "I got a great deal on it."

Umm, you must be in a higher tax bracket than me, coz if I went out and blew $200 on a whim, I'd need to bust out the triple: Jewelry, Chocolate AND Flowers... That'd be just to keep from having to sleep in my car.

He probably IS in a higher tax bracket; he's been worried about portable camera transport for their "overseas vacation" coming up. $200 isn't much compared with the cost of that :-)

Did you pay by Credit Card/Check or Cash. If you paid cash I have 3 words for you Deny, Deny Deny.

Some phrases that might be helpful.

What new tripod, I found that old thing out in the Garage, thought it would make a good travel tripod.

Oh, gave that to me.

or if you really need to change the subject....

are you putting on weight? (That one is sure to buy you a few days of silence).

My trick is to put things away for a while, then I can honestly say, "This? I've had it for ages..." Then he feels guilty for not noticing it before ;)

I'm worried we haven't heard from him; I wonder if she bonked him with a frypan or something?
