If that is a response to the lack of my response, no you didn't get dissed. I didn't see your question until this morning. It is a long story that would not translate well in a forum such as this.

Okay, we're starting to do a little better here. Miraculously picked up four comments, though one is just really bizarre.

Since it was brought up, all I can hear in my head is the Frank Zappa line from a song on Overnight Sensation - "vile and pernicious" if that helps to set a frame of mind...

Now back to your regularly scheduled threads after these words from our sponsor...

One of my favorite Zappa albums IS The Grand Wazoo. he always insisted he was not influenced by jazz, but that album kind of dispels that rumor.

Oh and remember, watch out where the huskies go and don't eat the yellow snow!

me and my pygmy pony are going to go ride along the border now.

I almost went with Pygmy Pony instead of thegrandwazoo for my Nick.

But Apostrophe was the first Zappa album I ever had and Cosmik Debris is one of my favorite songs so I went with the wazz.

Have you heard any of the stuff being releasd by the Zappa family trust like "Guitar". It has one of the best live solos on it ever "Sexual harassment in the workplace" it is a must have.

No since unfortunately my stereo crapped out like a year ago and after troubleshooting the system the part I need to fix it is like 125.00 so I never fixed it...the system is very old. After that I kind of got out of listening to music. Haven't listened to a CD since then. Never even used the CD player in my truck - not sure why. Maybe it is the satellite radio in the truck serves my needs. Whenever I feel like listening to something it is usually Zappa or Eno - now there is a wide canyon.

Got a big collection that is sitting in bags in my closet - about 15,000 CD's. A lot of comp cd's from my brother who is a promoter/manager in the biz.

1 - made you laugh
2 - made you think

Well Dial up "Sexual harassment in the workplace"

And I like Brian Eno fer shizzle!

You listen to any King Crimson? Adrian Belew played with Zappa so did Via.
05/12/2006 08:32:36 PM · #124
King Crimson yes - Red is one of my fav's - specifically One More red Nightmare, great bass and guitar riffs. Adrian Belew - also played for Lou Reed on some live stuff, Talking Heads, Bowie and Crimson and a few others I can't remember. He didn't get credit for all of it on the liner notes, but it was good stuff. Particularly the Heads stuff.

What does 'fer shizzle' mean? Is that good or bad?
