Greetings...

I finally purchased Quicken 2006 Premier Home and Business software to help me track the money I make and spend in photography. I also plan to use it to help me keep up with sales tax, taxes I owe, and everything else tax-related in the photography business.

Is there anyone else here using this software in a photography business? I'm not much of an accountant and I'm curious about how someone else categorizes certain expenses and income in the business...

John, I purchased Peachtree awhile back. Staples is having a FREE sale starting today again.

I must admit, I've looked through it and haven't found the time to actually learn it. I'm wondering if it's just too much for what I need.

Thought I'd tell you though in case you want to give it a go. Free is always nice.

It is used for both photography and our IT business.

I looked at my taxes and looked at how I divided thing up for my business expenses then used that as a starting point to catagorize my expenses. Not perfect, but a good starting point.

I do not use quicken, but wether doing it with Quicken or any other software or by hand and files it seams like a logical place to start.
