I got Megan her blue ribbon.

After .. what seems like an eternity of trying, and of trying hard to not put her in challenges *too* often, I managed to do what I thought was going to be impossible.

Happens that it comes just one month before I move to Vancouver and stop being a part of her full-time life.

I just want to thank everyone that voted and commented and have supported me time and time again on this site, and elsewhere, and have had the pleasure of watching Megan grow up, as I have had the pleasure of sharing her experiences with you.

I'm not going to say it'll be the last challenge she'll be in.. I do have one month left.. but it very may well be.

We've had some great times together, and I have one more month to cherish her in my life... and this win just puts the cherry on the top.

Thank you everyone.

As Life Passes indeed... I'm going to miss her terribly.

I'm sure there is some rule against Arty AND mk being sappy in the same thread but awww. :) Congrats on your ribbon, man. You're a great pal and I know there's big success waiting for you with your next step. It's amazing the things that kids can teach us and how attached we can grow. She's been lucky to have you in her life.

Isn't it funny and amazing and wonderful how much of a positive impact the little boogers can have on our lives?? I've nannied for three different families now and it seems like I constantly think about them...how tall they must be getting, how they're enjoying school, what silly thing they said/did at the dinner table.

I know that we're incredibly lucky to be a part of their lives and experiences.

But I ALSO know that Megan and the other kids are JUST as lucky to have YOU in their lives!!!

Oh man this makes me so sad. sorry to hear you have to go. I always assumed you were her father (it isn't just me is it? You two look a lot alike!) Sounds like you've had quite an impact in her life and those important things make an impression on little ones. I wish you and Megan (& sister!) all the best in life...

You know, it's always amazed me how quickly little ones can worm their way into your heart and just completely overtake every fiber of your being. I think there's some mathematical formula to it, but being that it's me, I don't know what it is precisely. ;) It's a given that Megan and Bree will always remember you and the impact you've made on their lives. As they grow, the memories may become more fuzzy since they are so young now, but the memories you have of them will never fade. You'll have a little twinge in your heart every time you hear the words "Me do!" I hope that you get to remain close to them, even while living in another city, because those "heartworms" are hard to heal, I'm told. ;)

Good luck in Vancouver and in all your future challenges, personally and photographically speaking. FWIW, I never mind getting my butt kicked by you because you're just damned good. Hugs!!!
