I had exactly the same numbers when I hit 10 votes. And until moments ago, I was above 6 but some mean !@#$#4 $#@%$ @#$%#$*^ just gave me a one and pushed me down to 5.73.

(edited for spelling)

Is there a way to cancel, or unsubmit, my photo? This is ridiculous... The quality of my photo is exceptional, yet my score is 5.5. It's a FREE STUDY for crying out loud, which implies to me to judge the photo based on how technically sound it is. I am really fed up with this site and the people that vote without care. I'm now thinking comments should be required.

I really, really like this photo. Only problem is on the DPC background, it seems a bit oversaturated. But I still really, really like it. I hope it stays in the 5.5 range.

Your average vote cast is 3.65 - therefore your 5.5 score is WAY above what YOU must consider average - reason to celebrate, I'd say!

don't you think you're getting a bit carried away here? for one thing, it's only been less than 2 hours. second, folks might just be sorting out the entries. third, well, look at your average vote cast and you're pissed at a 5.5? come on. lighten up dude :)

I don't understand... my average vote cast is 3.65, what does that have to do with my score?

I assume that was a rhetorical question.

I don't understand where my average vote cast comes into play with my score. I score photos based soley on how technically sound they are; this has no relation to the score of my photo.

How is that rhetorical? I'm serious. answer it.

Let me explain for Karin. When you vote, your average vote that you cast is essentially a 4. You have a 5.5 and you're complaining about your current score yet you yourself hand out low scores?

Like I said, it's still early in the voting process.

I give credit where credit is due, and honestly while there are some really great photos on this site, there are also some really horrible ones; it just so happens that the horrible ones outweight the great ones.

I started to answer this, but deleted it again. It's better this way.

Do you consider a 5.5 score to be bad? Could put into words what quality of picture would deserve a 5.5?

lfordhere, are you voting on every photo in each challenge?
