I participated in a juried exhibition in Manitou Springs, CO and the opening reception was last night. I did not expect to ribbon since it was the largest show I've ever been in and I'm still just getting started. I literally walked in, looked at the nearest two photos, turned to my mother and said, "If this is what I'm up against, then I definitely won't win anything." Then we opened the program and discovered that I got an Honorable Mention! There were 378 pieces submitted by 84 artists, and only 54 images were selected for the show. I have now submitted to four shows, been selected for three, and ribboned twice. I think I may have to start taking this a little more seriously if I manage to keep this up! ;-D
