This is the first time I have experimented with merging images.

How did I go, as I need to know if I am on the right track.

called "Waves" and this one called "Agave Waves"

I have some other "ideas", but before I do them, I need to know how these are received, re the DPC members approvial rate.

Comments most welcomed.....

I like the original photo of the agave, but I have to say that the compilation doesnt do anything special for me. I much prefer the original, and especially your earlier agave picture I'd seen before.

Yes, I kind of agree, but using some of my photos I have on file, playing with them, so as to learn the art of "merging" images.

I have some great ideas in my little head, but need to know how to merge, before I can do them .....

Thank you for you comments.....

I agree also that the earlier ones are better. To experiment with merge is a great tool, and I would like to see more of what you do with this.

This was an experiment to see if I could achieve this abstract image from four identical images. I manipulated the images in four various ways re vertically and horizontally, merging the four images into one patterned abstract image.

This is the result using the origional image,

called "Aquamarine", manipulated in four ways to produce this new image

called "Aquatic Waves" which is now purely abstract.

I would appriciate comments please.....

I would appriciate comments please, as in my other thread, I only had two comments, and would really like to know if this is to far out of the box.

I feel it is just what I wanted to achieve, re a true abstract image, using an origional image of mine, and turning it into a stricking patterned abstract image.

It also appears to look like glass, in many areas.

I have also previously received many comments, that my agave images look like paintings, that is a real compliment.

My agave images, have been so well received from you all, and I would really like to say a big Thank-you, to each and everyone of you, for being so supportive in my images and welcomomg me to DPC.

I like Aquatic Waves. Merging images is fun and it brings out lots of different interesting patterns.

Aquatic Waves is beautiful. It looks like the bottom is a perfect reflection on water of the top half. I'd like to play around with this concept when I find the time. Just added it to my favorites.

Since this thread shows some of the ways to put together multiple images, I wanted to share a print we sell at my shop. Shows some of the wonderful ways to take multiple exposures and place them in one composition.

I love Horowitz. He is my favourite artist ever. When I tried to discuss his work before, I've got replies he is a "digital art" artist. Actually he for ages used traditional photgraphy. Only recently went digital, and still this is not a PS job, as one can see here and there.

His art and story of his life both are amazing. Glad somebody else likes it as well.

I commented to them, Sher. I really like to see you stretching yourself this way. I'm impressed :-)
