Not wanting to get a DQ (especially now since it would cost my WPL league 0.5 points), I was wondering if it´s legal to use filter->distort->lens correction and vertical perspective by a very small amount (ca 10) to correct lens distortion in advanced editing?

Oh forgot to mention, this filter is in Photoshop CS2 and probably some older versions too...

In the past, I know that has been deemed illegal because it moves too many pixels. I don't think it has changed, but to make sure I'll let a SC member confirm.

Ok in advanced, not basic.

I would totally think this was legal but I want to be sure. It´s just the result of shooting at an angle with a particular lens left my subject just a little bit tilted and that is easily corrected by a small adjustment withi this tool but like I said, I want to be 100% sure even though I am almost 99% sure it´s legal. I do realize this would be illegal in basic editing though, just think it´s legal in advanced.

Another thread regarding distortion that was much more drastic and that was deemed legal in advanced.

SC has told us we can't do this in basic but it's OK in advanced. I have seen nothing to indicate that has changed.

I used Edit>Transform>Perspective in my Square Crop challenge. I mentioned it in the details so either a) it's legal b) nobody saw it since it didn't finish near the top or c) I'm about to get DQ'd. Stay tuned...

Good question though because you aren't the only one thinking about using it...

To confirm, OK in advanced, when used to correct, not to radically distort. Not OK in Basic.
