Anybody have any thoughts about this. Know when trial version is coming? It looks pretty neat. I guess it's an updated version Capture, which I have not used. Just wondering what it would replace. Right now I'm just using Picasa2 and PhotoImpact.

It's Nikon's Raw processing software and camera control utility.

I haven't used the NX version but my experience with the older versions is that photoshop and Raw Shooter do a better job of handling RAW images.

As far as camera control goes, I can't imagine what the new software would offer that the old one can't but IMO computer camera control is VERY nice and something I use often. It copies the images directly to the computer and allows timed interval shots. so you could for example shoot a picture every 30 seconds for an hour. It'll even time lapse the photos together for you if you'd like.
