Few things.
On the frist one, the backdrop and whatever teh ground covering is are incredibly distracting. The fabric you are using for the backdrop is picking up parts of the flash and reflecting it back
The glass seems a bit smudged.
The flash on both is creating distrating shadows. Try and get a bunch of lamps to light from all sides so you don't have to use the flash.
You've got a fun concept there, but the tecnicalities are very distracting on it.
Good luck

The comments Pidge gave you are the exact comments I would've written, although not as well as she did :-) You have a great idea, but need to work out the technicalities.
One other thing, please don't take this the wrong way, Bjarni: I looked at your profile and you've not given a single comment to others, but the only three posts you've made are asking for comments on your own images. I think it would be really nice to have your comments on some of the other member's images as well. You can start with my profile, if you want! :-) |

I am an amatuer and i wish to take those famous water shots...
i wasnt really happy with my first attempt. it was same as bjarnims.
i need to really concentrate on lighting ( i should buy 2-3 light sources ) and need to do more on focussing.
I would be great if you guys (experts) could show us the whole setup that you have used to take those excellent water shots.
I helps us to do a lot better the next time.
which one will be better ( MF or AF ) for these shots

"cucumber in glass"
I was shocked when I misread the topic at first glance.
