I'm putting together a slideshow of photos of a longtime camp friend who recently passed away. We're getting together for a memorial weekend where we'll do a construction project in his honor and likely share stories, etc. I'm looking for music to set this slideshow to. My slideshow old faithful, Iz's Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World combo isn't really right for this. The weekend is more a celebration of his life than a mourning of his death so I don't want anything too somber but at the same time, it probably shouldn't be party music either. Got any suggestions? |

I'm not a big Country music fan, but Garth Brooks - The Dance pops in my head for this sort of thing.

If you want music with no words, some of Jim Brickman's piano solos might work. I use his stuff for a lot of my videos. "A Beautiful Mind" is a good one.
"Remembrance" is another good one.

Probably the best song for memorials that I've heard is "100 Years" by Green Day. |
