Critique please:

//events.sfphotography.us/

I just started it today - I have images from 2 weddings and 1 sweet 16 to post, but I wanted feedback on the format first.
Thanks.

Not too keen on the opening page, but the website looks great with especially with the cake. White page then a black page can make your eyes go bad :(

I reversed it. Let me know what you think.

With our images we strive to recreate that moment for you in stunning detail; from the vivid colors, to the expressions on your loved ones faces, you'll relive every moment as if you'd just experienced it.

With our photos, we'll make sure you never utter the words "I wish I'd gotten that shot"...because you'll know that we did.

The last two statements are a bit repetitive....you might want to lose the second "With our..." and go with 'We'll make sure...." Its a great finishing line to your introduction.

Also might look better if all the introductory text was blocked to the right of the image and not have any text above and below the image.

i can't find any contact info :S .. not sure how the customers will find you.

When i clickedon an image to make it larger, i wasn't sure how to get back.. perhaps this could be clearer, with a back button or something. I wasn't sure if 'home' was where I was before.

I like the design however. I am a fan of black backgrounds.

What about having your thumbnails open the large picture in a new window? This is a bit more obvious th the browser that all they need to do is kill that window to get back to where they are?

This is the way I chose to do it on my website...
