I'm definitely learning to listen to that girl! She suggested I reshoot and improve a past idea for Macro, then helped me on my final choice out of two. I can NOT believe I broke the top 20 with it!

Lol, she's 23! I keep telling her she should join because she's got a good eye and has taken some great shots. But sure, you can borrow her as long as you have her returned before time to enter the next challenge! |

Sorry Team FZ - not too much help from me either. I'm not in Yellow, but both Toys and Best of 2002 are doing very poorly. And the shot I'm contemplating for Textures is more likely to get the brown than anything else.

I feel good about my toy's score. Its not my best by any means but it's certainly making up for my disappointment with Water II and the ambivilance.. ambivilence.. erm.. the "ehn" my Yellow submission seems to be fostering.
Time to go shooting for Texture and Jump.

chuck, i just went through all your comments, and i'm afraid i really didn't see any that were really rough. a couple seemed a little curt, but most seemed to offer constructive criticism in a friendly manner. learning at an art form is damned hard, because you put yourself out there so completely every time. but, don't take a criticism as a personal attack, but look hard at what they're saying. if you agree, use their opinion to improve. if you don't, forget about it.
one of the most important thing an art student develops is a thick skin! you have a great eye,a nd the more you shooot and play with your ideas, the better you will get. don't get discouraged inthe early stages. while the clicking part is easy, it does take time to develop your own vision and style. there's definitely promise in what you're doing, so keep at it!

Ok everyone just stop voting on my image I get to a 5 when the Aussie's and the people on the other side of the world are awake and voting but then my Compa's on this side of the world vote me down THANKS YANKS :(

I'm at a 5.6 and still no comments. And after going through all 300 and some entries, very few really jumped out to me. Kind of reminds me of another challenge that didn't seem all too exciting.
I'm heading to the waterfront on Saturday to work on Candids. |
