Yousuf Karsh
If you see a photograph of someone famous (without the headline "Sex Tape Scandal!" above it), it was probably Karsh. |

Those ones posted by Kiwiness are amazing. I been going through each one, and I'm totally fascinated. They are pretty out-there, and I can see why Kiwiness likes them.
Awesome! |

Wow, didn't know you could make an entire business built around 4 or 5 poses, and cutting peoples craniums off.
Beautiful headshots though. That's one HUGE portfolio.

My father, who documented four generations of our family with a $2 box camera. His extraordinary images began in 1929 and continue to this day at age 89. Working exclusively with B&W panchromatic film that he developed and printed himself, he managed to capture my great grandparents, their homes, and their work. One image is of my grand uncle who was a demolition expert, standing about 10 feet from a borehole blast, dust and rocks booming into the air. The photos include all of the Scott families with which he was acquainted, and span the North American Continent. He has provided a treasure for my brothers, myself and our children.
edit note: The sum total of his work spans six generations but only four were done with that old box camera!

Everytime I hear your name Nasti, I think of my brother Butch when we played Canasta, that's what he called his Canastas, Nastis :)

My father inspired me too.
He's got photos of us crying, laughing, sleeping, day dreaming and basically anything you could think of. |

Andrzej Dragan Even though I can't do the processing and the mood is out of my norm, I am drawn to his photography.
