Okay, I get the thing with the crop factor. I've got a D70 (1.5 crop). So on my old Sigma 75-300 that makes it a 113-450 right? What about the lens that came with the camera, the 18-70mm. Does that crop factor still apply to that lens as well as all the new "Digital" lenses. I've been looking at the Sigma 80-400mm and I'm wondering if that would make it a 120-600mm??

An 18-70mm lens is a 18-70mm lens is a 18-70mm lens - the focal lengths don't change. So, yes the crop factor still applies. A crop factor is only a difference in size between the sensor size of your camera and that of 35mm film, making a 300mm equivalent to a 450mm lense on a 35mm camera.

So the lenses that say they are digital only doesn't matter. The crop factor still applies?

Yup, sure does. a 50mm (even a digital 50mm) is still 50mm in focal length. 50mm just happens to be equivalent to 75mm on a 1.5 crop factor sensor, don't take it as being 75mm.

The difference in the digital lenses is the circle it projects onto the sensor or film.
