Just wanted to point that out to everyone and say congratulations to everyone who entered and scored well because you deserve it. Well done.

I noticed that, too. It was an absolutely delightful challenge to view and score!

Yeah...I noticed that too...

My 5.112 scoring photo wound up at bottom 7%

:|

Makes me wonder what my current Water entry will place at. But nice job to everyone in Deja Vu...

/= *thumbs up*

This one scared me but I entered anyway and wound up in the 8% .. lesson learned .. watch out I've been studying and trying different things with my camera since I did this shot .. I learned LOTS!! :)

I ended up at 4% LOL, but I did shoot only 2 frames only an hour before rollover.

I scored you a 6. Made me laugh.

So, has anyone gone through to see which photographer received the most Deja Vu nods?

I did the Rikki "Blue" entry and I saw a couple of other...

I think the scoring was a bit too high. The photos were great but there wasn't a whole lot of creativity (my shot included).

I was 7th from the bottom, but it was soooooo worth it. Staple removers are undervalued.

I don't know who got the most, but 3 of the top 15 were a reprise of Eggil's "Experience"...

Robt.

Must leave my sense of humor out of the challenges... AND my hairy belly. :-)

well you'd sort of expect it to be a high scoring challenge wouldn't you? the concept is obviously good (since it won a ribbon already, and how could it NOT meet the challenge? it's really a technical challenge more than anything.

i think there were some kickass entries, many of which equalled or improved upon the originals (which is not at all a knock on the originals).

I'm overall bummed so I'm going to go pout for the rest of the day.

Not sour grapes.... just don't get it. ;~(

Oh stop, you're making me blush. Mine wasn't THAT much better than yours....

*pause*

Oh. You weren't talking about my entry.
Nevermind.

Agree partially. It is a great selection of winning concepts which were officially allowed to plagiarize :), so no surprize the scores were high. However I did not view it as simply a technical challenge and tended to score higher photos which had an original twist (humorous or otherwise) on the theme of the dejavu'ed photo, not nearly-identical replicas.

This has nothing to do with this link, but I have a question....
Is this site for amateurs or professionals? I was just wondering since there are some sites that are advertising their studios. By outright linking, and by other, creative ways....
Is this fair? I am not complaining by any means, but just wanted to know what you think about not only trying to get votes for a pretty darn good photo and one that has the opportunity of ''just right lights'' and all the perks pertaining to a studio!
Thanks!

It's for both... and there is advantage to the amateurs to see what the professionals are doing. I don't see any problem with the pros linking to thier sites.

For example, while I make my living doing photography, I consider guys like Brent Ward "more professional" than myself and watch the stuff they do.

Thanks guys! I never looked at that way!

Agreed that the top to bottom quality of this challenge is one of the better I've voted on.

This is the first time I did not score a single image below a 5.

My voting pattern has changed considerably since starting DPC so I'm pretty sure there would be others I would vote similarly now. I prefer to think I have become more enlightened in my thinking; after all, site guidlines suggests a "10" is "good", not that it is perfection in its highest form.

I received a 5.96 and was not even in the upper 50%. Excellent images. Well done everyone!

My "Low Key" score = 5.498 = 67% (5.505 in Deja Vu II = 17%)
My "Deja Vu II" score = 6.395 = 68% (6.389 in Low Key = 95%)

Amazing.
