I'm not complaining about the recieved score, but I just really thought that it would be a top 10 photo. Is there something wrong, or missing?Or maybe the editing is not good. Comments on how to improve it are wellcome.

Oh, and I have here an edited version(not basic editing material) I would like to know your opinion about: //georgetipter.myphotoalbum.com/view_photo.php?set_albumName=album01&id=DSCI2900_photomagazine

Thanks!

Certainly a good idea and execution, it just dosen't seem to pop quite enough to be a ribbon winner. The whole image seems just a tad flat. Obviously not too bad considering you 6+ score. I think the post processed version would definetly have been top ten if not a ribbon. Either way, good work.

It's a great photo. 16th place is nothing to be sneezed at. Well done with your placing!

left a comment. One final point I didn't mention is the spelling. When you get to the top even small mistakes can cost you. Who knows if spelling lonliness wrong cost you a tenth?

Scored a 6.2, looking at the rest of the entries, I think it scored quite well. It is a nice shot, but lacks a little pop to take it over the top.

How do you like this way, just a little more attention to the hands, not to the wall.

I like the b/w and closer crop. I think the hands still don't pop enough. Seems some clarity was lost with the crop.

I quite agree - spelling it loneliness might have helped a little.

Sorry, DrAchoo...... had to pick on you there *grin*

haha, man I'm been busted twice this morning. You know, I had this sneaking suspicion I spelled it wrong but was too lazy to go back and look. Good thing I didn't enter... :)

I'm gonna go crawl back under my rock now and wait for my camera to come back from Canon.

I tried b&w too, but I like the color version more.I think it's closer to the viewer. What do you think about the other version?
