I remain mired in mediocrity.

Well, I tried to vote on everything but I still have 21 entries that I can't recognize the originals for! I found originals for everyone who gave a date or a challenge name or an author, but the remaining are title only, if that. Any suggestions how I can find the originals?

I voted all the images in this challenge. I expect very high scores for the top finishers. There are fantastic entrys in it. I gave more than 40% of them scores of 8 and above and no scores below 5.

Great work and a tip of the hat to all who entered!

Then, after I voted the last one I discovered that nobody did a tribute to any of my pictures. That caused a terrible dilema. I was distraught. I didn't know what to do.

So I consulted with other DNMC voters and we all agreed... If there are no tributes to any of our photographs in the challenge that clearly proved that the whole collection of pictures failed to meet the challenge. And oddly enough, that was true of every one of us.

Sorry...

So I went back and re-voted all the pictures, randomly scattering scores in the 1-5 range to prevent detection by computer voting analysis so they would not be thrown out.

That is how we DNMCers always do that.

Mine IS a tribute to your Morning Coffee!!

(It's just, er, an abstract tribute) and only a TRUE artist, such as yourself, would appreciate my artistic license.

So - please hand me back that 10.
Thanks.

OK... you got it, but if you think I'm going to go back and changing all those other scores again your crazy!

I'll let it slide this time, but I don't want to ever catch you accusing us DNMCers of being "a TRUE artist" ever again. LOL!!!

Just to make absolutely sure (so nobody worries) - you are kidding, right?

Of course I am! But not the part about how great the pictures in the challenge are.

They are Super!!

Definitely agree on the quality of this week's images ...
We have some amazing photographers here.
bummer that my for-once decent score will merely be swimming under the many much higher scores :)

Let's see, 140 entries in this challenge, most of exceptionally high quality, will a 6.3 place in the top 70?

I hear you. This will be my personal best if it stays in the vicinity of where it is right now.

Well, I'll have a high-score image on my profile page, shouldn't matter that it will be a 70% challenge shot.

Edit to add: 202 votes @ 6.5545, 15 comments.

Post,
I suggest you vote on the qualitly of the image itself, not how well it copied the original. There could be aspects that are better or just different, that you may be marking down because it is not an imitaion. Just vote, and enjoy!

If the previous Deja Vu is any indication, you should be in top 50 (in that challenge 6.3 were around 35th place among 106 participants, and we have 140).

Using the same scaling, I should be in top 10 :). We'll see...

And using that same scaling, my 4.533 should rank around 150th place

well, I just finished voting on all of the images, so don't expect anymore scores from me.
