I had to meet with a client in Bellevue today, so I brought along the tiny SD-400 P&S in case I saw something worth photographing. Guess what? Pretty much everything was worth shooting! :) I just snapped away as I drove along. Some shots when I was stopped at a signal, but most are just point & shoot. I did little processing on some and more on others (lest they all be boring as hell). Here's a few:
The rest are here...
Comments, criticism & wisecracks welcome. |

Very cool shots... Love the shift change one. I really am feeling the need to buy a little P&S like yours to have around for cases just such as that.
I also love "Rollover" too...great way to make the rain work for you! :)

I just finished browsing the photos as you posted this and really liked what you posted. The abstract was just that! Loved the rain on the window! Also loved the shift change, made me chuckle. I got one on the side of the road Monday afternoon too .. haven't posted it. Felt bad for this guy after watching him a bit, he seemed mentally handicapped. |

These are great! I like "Callin' it a Day" best. Those little P&S's do come in handy and make sitting in traffic a little more interesting. I saw in the grocery store parking lot a couple of weeks ago doing this same thing, lots of fun, just taking random pictures. |

Any pics posted? I would love to site in the Wal-Mart lot all day and shoot. Every time I go into that place it's an adventure.
Believe it or not, I was planning on taking my backpack full of gear - I've done this before - even changing lenses as I'm driving. Much harder to drive and shoot with the dSLR though and that's one reason I bought the SD. |

I was sitting in a Home Depot parking lot here not long ago taking pics of the beautiful sunset. Some lady walked right up to my car and demanded she know "who" I was taking pics of!!! eesh .. I pointed at the sunset and told her to chill. Guess she was having a rendevous she didn't want any pics of or something! |

Nah, nothing yet, still working on them. Kind of in a lull right now, but hopefully I'll pull out of it. I am going back to the shopping center Friday after work...... |

I do this all the time, including this recent entry:
alternate versions:
You might be interested in the Windscreen Gallery -- entirely devoted to photos taken out of car windows.
I have more (older ones) in this pBase gallery, and scattered throughout my entries.

Does a lot of people do photos from their car? I do a lot because of my disk problems in my neck and especially my lower back. Looks like there could be some fun from taking pictures from the car even though I have been most of the time ashamed or to embarrassed to say that I do. You know, no want to admit to there limits. But I guess I just did.
Great shots Art and GE!

Cool site - I submitted a few. Maybe I'll be selected as windshield photographer of the year and they'll want my work included in an upcoming coffee table book and I can get advanced copies for only $49.95!
...I should be so lucky. |
