Robt.

I suspect there will be a lot of people upset when the non 2 second shot beats theirs. I think this should have been thought out better or presented better. The description does say EXACTLY 2 seconds. Seems pretty clear to me that if not it shouldn't be competing.

I also took it to learn what I could do with 2 seconds and feel I came up with a good topic. I tried many things before it hit me, but this works. I hope it fairs well.

This seems like one of a few that should have "Special DQ Rules"

edit to add: Wouldn't it be funny if Langdon added that in now and the made a green bar announcement and the number of entries dropped by 50%. LOL!

While I have advocated that those without the camera capability could "fake it". I actually agree that it should have been a RULE. I foresee a LOT of bitching and groaning next week.

I'm amazed that a challenge that specifies a simple camera setting, in no uncertain terms, can inspire a 12 page thread discussing mainly whether or not it's right to disregard the setting.

But I guess people will argue about anything? :P

High 4 to low 5. Needs work on lighting. Crop too close to woody's head. "No blue ribbon for YOU!"

Yeah but c'mon Bear, you would have to boost 1-2 points for creativity and effort!?

Hmmm. I rather like the lighting. Crop is fine. What I don't like is the little piece of popcorn hiding just behind the leg. I do like the popcorn near the foot, though. That works well. Good color, nice composition. Maybe a 7 if it was indeed a 2 second exposure.

;-)

I'm in. I'm number #154. Hope to finish a bit higher than that when it's over, though.

I got nothing and it took 2 seconds to figure it out!

Good luck to all who are in. I'm just voting on this one.

10's for everybody! :) j/k

Anyone else going back & forth with their entries? I keep changing my mind between 3 different possible shots. LOL Submit, reconsider, submit new shot, reconsider, submit another shot, reconsider, lather, rinse, repeat... LOL

I had a shot planned but the weather didn't cooperate all week, so it looks like I won't be entering this one :(

I had to reshoot mine entirely, which is a story unto itself (and is in the entry description, wwhich you can read when the challenge is over.) Then I sent three to my mom. She wrote back: "I like one and two. But three is good, too. You decide." Helpful.... :-)

And Jimmy, I fully expect you'll have an even harder choice in Low Key, since you do that VERY well.
