Any photographers in DC interested in a get together some weekend soon? I was thinking possibly the weekend of March 25th. A later date sometime in April would also probably work. Let me know if you're interested.

I'm in NYC but keen on heading to DC some time. I heard spring blossom there is good. When abouts does that happen? Where should I be going?

| The National Cherry Blossom Festival Begins one the weekend of March 25th. We could go on either that Saturday or Sunday. There will be plenty of blossoming trees by the Tidal Basin. |

The peak blooming period is predicted to be 27-Mar to 01-Apr. Since 01-Apr is a Saturday, perhaps we could plan it for that day?

Alright, so as of now it seems that we are planning to go on April the 1st (Saturday). As ClubJuggle pointed out, this is the last day of the peak blooming.
Who could make this date?

So the date is definitely going to be April 1st. I was thinking we could meet at around 2:00 PM down by the Tidal Basin considering the wealth of cherry blossoms there. Here is the list of people who are going for sure as of now.....

I'm in!!! I live in Hampton, about 3 hours away. Been there for the cherry blosoms...on a nice sunny day you couldn't ask for a better place to be for a GTG!!

i am very very interested not sure yet, right now I have a project for work scheduled but I will see if I can do it before than also are some of you in DC going to drive or take the trains, not sure what I am going to do yet, I may take the train there (just dont know the DC trains of course), really dont want to drive thats a 4 hour + drive coming from NYC just for one day of shooting.

I was going to post this weekend about doing Cherry Blossom GTG 2006 the weekend of April 1. Seems I was beaten to the punch. :) |

Yes you were! But that's ok, we forgive you. And on that note, would you like to come? We are planning to meet at about 2 in the afternoon on April 1st and shooting until people want to leave. Just send me a PM if you're interested. We are also trying to figure out a location. I was thinking by the Tidal Basin but let me know if you have any other suggestions.
