My plans have solidified somewhat now and I can commit to meeting y'all at 2:00! I'll be driving down (or taking the train) from Philadelphia. Can't wait to see some of you again and meet some of you for the first time! :-)

I am hoping to drive up for the day but I can't commit yet. I am in the process of selling my house and it depends on how things go this week. I am hoping I can make it.

Where is Clara (Blemt) in all this? I don't see her as a definite attendee?

Just checked the weather again. Snow?!!
Sorry, but count me out. Bit like my skiing, I prefer nice weather. Shall save it for another time.

I've lived in DC most of my life. One thing I've learned: The weatherman is almost always wrong.

This week it was supposed to snow. We didn't even get rain.
Last week it was supposed to snow. Nothing. Not even rain.
Rain all this week? Nope. Nada.

They are typically right when they call for hot and humid. Beyond that, its your best guess.

The last two hurricanes have been a blast. Well, except for the power being off for a week. But it wasn't supposed to be that bad here. Supposed to die out before it hit. Ha!

Worked for a company that managed the computer systems at NOAA. Everythng was great with weather prediction back then. Then they decided to go to IBM. Forecast sucked since then... ;)

same here, I am coming from NYC and to travel there and it ends up raining thats going to suck, so u can count me out for now.

I'm so bummed... I wont be able to make it this year. That's the weekend I'm supposed to be driving to Asheville, NC to pick up my little man.

If anyone wants to head out during the week, I'm all for it, just drop me a line.

I may come too... it depends on whether I choose to be productive or photographical that day.

I would suggest (since I didn't see it) that someone clarify which entrance from GP/CT Metro would be the meeting point. See, there's 3 exits from that station, and they are several blocks apart. My guess is that Terry was talking about the entrance with the big neon fan over it, leading to the Chinatown Arch, but who knows for sure?

You're seriously taking an 8-day forecast seriously...? Puh-leez. I'm sure that even if it does rain, it *probably* won't be an all-day rain. And the real fun of a GTG is meeting people, which we can do rain or shine... :)

Well, today the forecast called for cold, windy, and rainy. I went without a coat most of the day (an occasional gust was annoying) and got hit by maybe 20 drops. The clouds were cool, dispersing just in time for a nice sunset. Forecast, 45 with 50% rain. Actual, 55 with no rain.

Obsidian (Carl) was very cool and I greatly enjoyed his company. Look forward to meeting more of you next week. Pics downloading now... :)

Ignore the weather - there are so many places to shoot indoors in DC that, well, there's always somewhere to shoot.

Me and a friend might be joining you all, so please list me as a possibility.

We'll be taking the train into Union, is that where we are all meeting up at?

EDIT: it'll be good to see some of the notaconers there, ill be sure to wear my tshirt! hahaha hopefully its warm enough for a sleeveless as I cut the sleeves off lol

I thought we were meeting on April 1 at 2:00??

I just looked at the weather for this coming Saturday and it says "Isolated T-storms." That's for here, but our weather is usually pretty similar to DC.
