i thought (hoped) I could anticipate the DPC voter moods, but I did not expect my shot
to barely cling to 5.0... lol
I knew the voters would hang on bright outdor sun and un-pretty trash can, but hey, this IS real life outside fashion. Still, 5.08?
I actually liked this photo to choose it over a couple of others
do you think they would do any better?
or perhaps, "mannequin=woody" is the real reason?

I think either of the other 2 would have faired better.
I think the comments summed it up, the left side of your entry is just too distracting.
Left comments.

The comments by the other participants are my exact thoughts. The brightest spots attracts the eye. In your shot, the bright spot is the outside window, including the store fronts and garbage can. That was enough to make a strong graphic picture into a okay image.
You've got some great feeback in your comments. Take them to heart.

If you really wanted to go the mannequin route, then the other two are better, almost unanimously in my opinion. Don't worry, you have some killer shots your portfolio....

OK, I'm the oddball on this one - I actually liked this shot quite a bit. I didn't find the stuff on the left "distracting" at all - it was sort of an interesting counterbalance to the "perfect plastic" appearance of the mannequins. |

If you're an oddball, then I am too!!
I kind of like the way it gives us a sense that they are "looking" at something outside. The competition was tough in this challenge |
