Alright, for my high school yearbook, I need to take some senior superlatives (most likely to succeed, best dancer, etc...)

I am a little unhappy with what I have so far, I̢۪m afraid my images don't have enough 'pop' to them, not enough contrast perhaps? The problem with the contrast though, is I come very close to whitewashing some parts of the image...

Anyway, here are some examples of what I have taken so far...


I am only shooting with a white background and an old flash that can only sync with the camera but it can move to different angles.

Also, if anyone has any ideas for poses, has any experience with this or any examples, I would hug you.

How are you converting? If you go through the forums, there are some excellent tutotrials on converting

If you can adjust your flash, I would try bouncing it off the ceiling so there will not be such harsh shadows in the left and right ones

Also, if you can, shoot RAW. Youc an bring out shadows and highlights in it

Posewise, I'd try moving in and out. All three pics are taken from teh same distance. Move in, move out, protrait, landscape...
