Well, I just bought an EF 50mm f/1.4 off of FM. Now I just have to control myself until it gets here! arrhggg!.....

I'm about to order the lens hood, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there's velvet on the inside of the 1.4's hood?

Anyone else anxiously awaiting gear?

Nice one Trey! I have the 1.8MKI and look forward to seeing some shots from the 1.4 (is it really worth the extra pennies?).

Oh, I'm not waiting for anything but my CC is itching for the 70-200 2.8 IS (now I have a buyer for the f/4)

Yes, I ordered an expensive spot meter. Canon calls it a 30D.

Nice one, the blurb I've seen doesn't give the crop factor, I'm guessing its still 1.6?

LOL. You'll have to let us know if it's worth the upgrade from the 10D...

I have two 10Ds and intend to keep one as a backup and to eliminate constant lens changes. It's a big body, very sturdy and reliable. They don't make 'em like that anymore. :-D

Hooray for you, Trey. Enjoy your new toy!

My sensor cleaning kit (from Copperhill) is due to arrive today.
I'm looking forward to comparing the before and after shots.
Hopefull I'll actually manage to improve it and not make it worse.
