Anyone clean your sensor in your Pentax yet? Have some nasty dust balls on the sensor and looking for methods, items, etc that can be used.
Those sensor brushes are expensive really expensive, but if it's the only choice.

any of the methods that work for any other camera will work. Personally I just use a blower (non-brush), while holding the camera lens-mount down, and it seems to do the trick most of the time.
Haven't tried any other method though |

Just put the camera in sensor clean mode and run it through the dishwasher on "Pots and Pans"

I've cleaned mine a few times now.
I use the Giottos Rocket Blower for most dust but when that doesn't do the job I go the copperhill kit method.
Most of the time the rocket blower does the job but when shooting macros at f22-f32, I generally need a clean sensor and the wet swab method is the only way to do it.

I guess I'll order a blower then.

I have used Eclipse cleaning solution and the pre-packaged cleaning swabs with good success. I wasted a couple my first attempt. Ironically, it takes a bit of nerve to apply enough pressure to get the stubborn particles off. Now that I have lost my fear of applying pressure, it's pretty easy. |
