I'm sorry, this entire post on light bulbs DNMC... I'm taking a screen shot of this post, adding motion blur and then submitting it to the 7 Deadly Sins Challenge as my own work. Do you guys think it'll be a good entry (before I go through all the work)?

In basic editing?

Yeah and one who realizes what a great lightbulb scalvert has and adds it to her favourites.

And don't forget kiwiness who will burn the changed bulb and you can start over again. :-)

If it isn't heavy doesn't that make it a light bulb?

And why is it they keep burning out all the time?
And I don't care what anyone says, the Nikon bulbs are better!

You might be able to edit the post, but you can't get the quote! ;-P

... and one pedant who will insist that it is a 'lamp' not a 'bulb'.

THIS my friends, is why everyone should switch to those spiral bulbs. You won't have to ask this question as often and you save energy!

...and the pedant would then tell you that "spiral bulb" is an oxymoron.

Please understand that this mythical pedant is not me. I couldn't care less about it, honest.

So, about this light bulb, should I set my white balance to auto or should I do a custom white balance?

Please don't put cheese and raw in the same forum posts. We do not need any more fotomann_forever incidents...

What about those (like me) who'll ask where to buy adapters to invert the lightbulb before screwing it in :)

Hey - You forgot about marcellieb complaining that in SA the new light bulb would be 6 times more expensive than in the USA - and the lightbulb would be stolen, but luckily the thief would drive away in a FORD and he will then meet his end in a high speed drive chased by the cops...
02/10/2006 04:38:54 PM · #44
Excellent (and amazingly accurate) post! You forgot this one though:

One to post a related woody picture...

...and since it's on the list, but nobody has done it already...

And one final observation: The changing of the light bulb (lightbulb) would be entirely DQ'd for both the removal AND addition of a major element (the bulb). Not to mention if it was done too fast for the shutter speed, the resulting blur could also violate the occasional interpretation of the implied rules, but by itself would probably result in a split decision to be settled by the toss of a coin using a fast shutter speed and a strobe. ;-)

Looking at the Broken II entries, I would say there is a couple of people that replaced light bulbs - and also wine glasses and eggs. Also a couple of badly smashed cars.

You know, fotoman posed NUDE with CHEESE once. Just thought I'd mention it.

Three to look at the light bulb and say, "Nice glass!"
02/10/2006 05:14:14 PM · #50
How many lightbulbs does it take to change a person?
