It might be a fun challenge (or challenges) to take shots that a school teacher would hang on her or his classroom wall about school subjects. This may be a good marketing challenge for DPCPrints, too.

I thought of this during the *Natural Numbers* challenge. One pervasive image on many teachers' walls is the poster of close ups of butterfly wings that go through the letters of the alphabet (or numbers--I can't remember!). I'm sure teachers would love images of math at work in real life, or social studies, or reading/writing, or any other school topic, plus it would be an easy marketing tool for us personally--we could easily go to teacher conferences or teacher websites to display our stuff.

I have actually started on a project like this where i have been photographing (portrait orientation) interesting looking letters and numbers to make a single montage of A-Z and 0-9 to do just this... I haven't gotten very far with it tho... lol

I have been doing the same thing, albeit very slowly! I'd love to see some of yours, John.

I haven't posted any of what i have online anywhere yet because the individual images aren't worth much.

The problems that I have run into are finding INTERESTING looking letters and numbers, and finding them spaced out in such a way that I can make a decent photo of a single letter/number.

Amen on both counts. Tough stuff, but a fun challenge. Maybe I'll take a few weeks and focus on it.

This sounds like something that might be up my ally. I've just started to make my first project list. Maybe if I find some good ones I could have some fun decorating my daughters room.

You might also want to do a series of animal shots, one per letter, or groups of animals representing the numbers.

Actually your Crayon Galaxy is excellent for teachers in both primary (elementary) school and for childcares!

I think this would prove to be an excellent challenge!

I might have Isaac model the manual alphabet and basic ASL signs; I've seen posters for those in his classroom.
