Great job on that!

I did, but maybe I'll send another. Actually, I had forgotten that they said they'd be sending them out.

I refuse to believe the freckles will be my downfall! LOL! :-D

thanks, there were SO MANY freaking scratches and specks. What looks like the hard part with the lips and the BG was nothing. it was fixing all those derned nicks!! Just about drove me batty.

I helped the first time around, but never got anymore from them even though I have volunteered. I just PM'd becky in case they forgot I was waiting.

As I said I'm not quite finished, but here's what I've got so far. I should have it completed and returned by EOD tomorrow.

I decided to simply crop the worst of it away, didn't seem necessary to keep his knees.
I think the photo is better now because we're more zoomed in on the face.

Do you agree with that, or am I out of line here?

I agree that it's probably your best option given the state of the original, but you might consider giving it a shot at restoring the legs too and provide them with both versions. Just a thought (that looks mighty tough)... :-)

Thank you for your input.
I agree it would be nice to give both options, but I know that the endresult would not look all that good, so I won't bother.

Hi everyone!

No, we most definitely have NOT forgotten about you!

If you have volunteered in the past and, at this point, have not received an e-mail about photos or photos themselves, e-mail volunteer@operationphotorescue.com with your skill level and you'll make it on the list in case it somehow slipped through the cracks.

From there, your name and e-mail will be sent out to either Mike or I, and we will e-mail you asking to reply to us when you are ready for photos as well as what level you want to take at that time (for example, some people who can handle moderate ask for easy due to time constraints but still wanting to help).

If it takes time to get through the process, it's just because that the four of us are handling all of it, plus trying to keep up with our jobs, second jobs, families, etc. We have not kept anyone out because we are not happy with your work, etc... or because of freckles, I have plenty myself and that would just be hypocritical :) I personally can say that I reply to e-mails in the order that I get them. So the days that the e-mails come in by the 100s can take a lil' bit to plug through.

We are also working now, with help for volunteers like yourselves, of putting together a forum for information plus revamping the website and trying to figure out an ftp system that will not create too many problems, if possible.

If you have any other questions, here are the e-mails:

For general information: info@operationphotorescue.com
For volunteer information and to get put into the database: volunteer@operationphotorescue.com
For donation information: donate@operationphotorescue.com
And lastly, to reach me directly: rsell@operationphotorescue.com

Still havent heard anything... anyone still getting projects to work on from them? Any updates??
06/18/2006 06:26:23 PM · #349
UNCLEBRO, I would start with the Highlight/Shadow tool to bring out the detail. Run it through Neat Image to get rid of most of the junk. Then the usual cloning, dodging/burning, and then curves and USM.
