Circle and sphere are derivatives of round.
Round and Roundness encompass a broad concept and is not limited to a pure definition. I'd estimate only a small percentage of adjectives in any human language limit themselves to only one or two variations.
The problem lies in language and it's use in verbal communication:
"It's not a sphere, it's a ball!"
"It's curved, not rounded!"
"Let's walk around in a circle"
The existence of alternative does not limit language to definitive dichotomies.
End of debate.

you're of course, correct. unfortunately, some people are getting voted down and told they dont meet the challenge because their shots contain 'roundness' but not 'perfect spheres or circles'.
that's where the debate is coming from....

yeah.. it's so unfortunate...
Pity my submission too, i have circles, roundess AND spheres in mine. They'll tear it apart like mangy dogs! My comments section will be a no man's land for verbal warfare.

It's okay, my picture has 30 perfect circles in it and people are telling they can't see what it has to do with round |

Hey, as long as it conveys a sens of roundness in my mind, I'm happy. I'm not part of that anally retentive clan.
