I had this photo entered until last minute and then pulled it
what do you think - was it a wise decision on my part? Any comments would be welcome.
I had a couple more
but finally decided to pass on this challenge

thank you for your comments! I often have trouble choosing the right photo to submit. I liked the tonal range in the first one better, and somehow could not reproduce it in the second one (which I agree may be better compositionally). If it was a member challenge, I guess I could increase the impact of either of these shots (burning, dodging and such), but as it is I don't think they are particularly striking...

That second shot is beautiful. I would've voted high on it. You should've entered your pic regardless. I'd rather submit something, not have it win, and learn something from the comments than not submit at all.

I like #2 & #3 - 2 the best.
I really think #2 would have really well in the challenge.

The shadow on the 1st one is horrible, the the 2nd picture is fantasic! u should have entered the 2nd one. |
