i was in michoacan, mexico for a few weeks.
I spent most of my efforts shooting film but i brought my d70 too, heres some randoms...pretty much straight out of the camera.
you might notice im not into shooting the traditional landmarks as much, but take a browse if you have a minute.

when i get the film processed (some 20-25 rolls of medium format slide and b/w white film) ill make some scans and post them.

What did you use to get that barrel distortion, which some of these photos have? They seem to look 'further' away than usual, can you tell us why? You have captured quite a variety of pictures though, I like some of the people ones but it's not easy trying to capture them is it without them noticing. :-)
Just took a look at your profile, I see you have a 10.5 mm fisheye lens..

haha i havent found a buyer yet sorry, ill ask around when class starts next week for ya though.
yeah i use the fisheye lens quite a lot, more than most people seem to care for haha, but i love it. many of the people shots were just shot from the hip with the fisheye or the wide end of the kit lens. glad you guys liked the shots. mexico is a fascinating place. |

I'll make them a sweet deal!! I'm not in a hurry, just joking around. I love shooting film. If I sold it, I think I would get a 4x5 or 8x10 field camera. Or maybe that 1Ds Mark II I've been needing. ;o)
Love this shot DSC_0154.jpg

thanks, yeah i find that when i travel i take photos of things you may find around home, but i am just a lot more motivated to actively seek it, because it is all new to me.
i may most some bigger size on my website later on, but for now i have way too many to sort through, and work and school starting next week. |

These are really great. I think there are sooooooo many wonderful places to see in Mexico. Would spend a few weeks a year there if I could. You did a great job capturing the "color" of Michoacan.
