I fricken love this show...and which short haired woman behind a bed are you talking about? Was that in last night's (the 30th) episode?

had to go into hiding?

Watch the end of seasons one and four, you'll have your answers pretty quick.....well actually just watch all of season four, you might need that to get the ending.

Basically any time someone mentions torture, gets tortured, or is threatened with torture, you are supposed to drink.

I don't really play it, otherwise I wouldn't be able to drive to work the next day.

Ah, ok, that would explain it. I have to download episodes because of bad TV reception, can't watch this with bad reception now can you? So when people post torrents, they remove the previews to save space....keeping me in the dark for the next episode makes it all the better. :)

ok, since it seems as if you havent watched since season 1, im gonna try to fill you in on seasons 2-4 and the beginning of season five in about a paragraph. hear it goes...

In Season two their was a nuclear threat that Jack stopped...end of story.
In Season three some terrorists got hold of a weaponized virus and were threatening to release it in major cities across the US. Jack stopped them.

Now here is where it gets complicated. In the beginning of Season 4 the Secretary of Defense, Heller, is kidnapped by a group of terrorists and they try to execute him while a live feed is playing it on the internet around the world. They do not succeed however. This is only a diversion however for the main terrorist strike. The main attack that the terrorists have planned is a nuclear strike. They steal a nuke and put it on a stealth missle headed for LA. CTU (counter terrorist unit) gets intel that says a certain Chinese man who works at the chinese embassy knows where the nuke is. The problem is that he knows that someone is going to come after him for the knowledge, so he seeks refuge at the Chinese Embassy. To make a long story short, Jack runs a covert raid in which the go into the Chinese Embassy and kidnap the man in question. The problem is that while the raid is going on, on of the Chinese security guards pulls the mask off on of Jack's men. Security tapes pick up the man's face and are able to identify him. The problem is that the Chinese consulate was killed by friendly fire during the raid. The Chinese kidknap Howard Bern (the man they identified from the security tape) and force a confession saying that he was part of a covert operation headed by Jack Bauer. Seeing that Jack is a goverment agent, this implicates the goverment. If the US government led an operation on the Chinese embassy, it is technically considered an act of war. To prevent war with the chinese and keep the government from becoming involved jack has to turn himself over to the chinese and say that he led the raid on his own accord. Walt Cummings (the secretary of state) orders the secret service member who is picking jack up to turn him over to the chinese to kill him. He doesn't want the chinese torturing information out of him. David Palmer calls jack to warn him about the secret service assain. Jack than stages an escape from CTU with Tony Almeida and then fakes his own death. Jack Bauer was then officially deceased. He then had to get a new identity, disappear, and start a new life.

And with regards to his wife, she died at the end of season 1.

No, just kidding. Those 24 fans who have watched all the seasons will remember when Kim got caught in the mountain lion trap during that one season and then the survivalist guy saves her and then tries to kidnap her. That crazy Kim Bauer!!! Always getting into trouble :)

i personally think that the person under the bed is either Evelyn (Martha Logan's assitant) or Mandy, the crazy terrorist lady who tries to kill Palmer in season 1 and then kidnaps tony in season 4

yep evelyn is a good/great guess that would be awesome cause she is so quiet an innocent in the show, or if the kid and the lady jack knows in mexico that just got released had something to do with it.

remember in the first episode of this season it became clear that someon hacked into CTU's computers and learned that jack had been in contact there...thats how

and...any new guesses on who is behind the bed? well i guess we'll find out tomorrow
