I was wondering if we can carry a tripod with carry-on luggage.

Its big enough to knock someone out, so is there any restrictions or has anyone ever got into trouble with that?

Thanks Ryan!

I would have hated not carrying my tripod!

It varies. Normally there isn't a problem. Depends on the security agent, though. Be prepared to have to check it or leave it behind. It pays to have a back-up plan if you want to carry it on.

There isn't a real regulation wrt to tripods, though things like baseball bats are not allowed.
