| Not only is my score dropping faster than ever before but 5 out of 7 are hidden voters..whats with the hiding, do they feel guilty about giving poor scores/comments? |

When you check the comments for your photo on the left it tells you who left that comment unless it was hidden voter it will have a bag on its head, probably deserves it if they have to hide who they are |

101 votes and I am at a 3.5 with 6 comments. I never thought that anyone would even vote on my pic. I understand that I should have made the picture larger but I did not understand how to do so, but I do now! Thank you to everyone that voted.

I think I was one of the ones that may have commented on it not being big enough. I did the same thing with my very first entry. Course I haven't improved much since then obviously! I only have 2 comments. I feel mines better then a 4.3 but oh well. |

Same story here.. I am up to 5.9118, I just hope it crosses 6, it was technically the most thought I put in the picture so far! |

Actually, that's usually a good thing. If, your photo looks "tricky" or like it might have used a restricted effect or method. A DQ Validation often becomes a good thing. People see it and realize it is "valid" and thus don't take off additional points in their mind. |

I sent you an email jansku. You should read it. I'm not angry, or upset, but until you're hitting 10.0 all the time you should really be a little more open minded about what the photographer it trying to get across in thier images. Especially when they are abstract pieces. Understanding that, might give you some perspective that you could use in your photography and help you create images that are higher rated as well. Even if they are not abstract.

Abstracts almost never do well on DPC and never WILL do well on DPC. Fact of life. Shoot for you or shoot for DPC - but your score will reflect whether you shoot stock photos (6.5) or abstract (4.5)
(I have no idea what your msg was about just that you seem to have an abstract and a score you are unhappy with).

I figure it's pretty impossible to please everyone - especially with abstract photos like yours. You should not let my humble vote (in your case it was pretty low, simply because it's not the kind of picture that I happen to like!) discourage yourself. Shoot for yourself, not for me. :)
