I have no comparison by years, just by percentages. I joined in March, made my first submission in May.
Basic Editing - Hairy Banister, Minimalism challenge (my first)
1% placement, 3.663 score. worse score.
Ready For the Picken, branch challenge
78% placement, 5.517 score, best one so far in basic
editing.
Advanced Editing - Reptile Habitat, At The Zoo challenge (my second in
advanced edtiting)
5% placement, 4.084 score, the worse score
Sunday Morning, Garbage II challenge
52% placement, 5.024 score my best percentage
placement in advanced editing.
Highest score to date, Fading Into Night, Triptych challenge, advanced editing, 5.614 but it only came in 48%.
Goals for 2006
Try to break at least a 6.
Try to get at least an 85% placement in a challenge.
Try to maintain an average placement in the 40-50% placement overall in challenges.
Not very high goals, but I am being realistic. I know I put too much detail in my images, so I will try to simplify, but there is still that problem with camera capability. I am not sure I can get to my goals given the camera I have, which won't be changed to a digital slr anytime soon. |
