Car charger for my mp3 player
Couple of DVD movies
two pc games
LL Bean messenger bag (exchanging it for a smaller bag)
Canon 70-200 f2.8L IS (LOVE my hubby)
Canon 77mm circular polarizer
Oh, and finally researched DVD burners for laptops - and have one of those on order (our player is on fritz so we are upgrading).
Next week we head to my parent's house. Christmas take two.

an eye exam with a new pair of glasses!! haven't had a new pair of glasses in about 5 years. it was time. And of course some fuschia colored soft shag like socks!

It happened to us with our son Troy. He'll be 26 years old at 4:28am tomorrow morning. It took a few years for his sister to understand why they both got presents on Christmas day, but only Troy got presents on the day after Christmas. :)

Today i got a pillow, an oven mitt, a wallet and new underwear and $45. So much for thoughtful relatives!
For the 'season' i got:
DVD burner for the puter
200Gb HD for puter
70-210 2.8 Tamron SP lens
and the tripod...is still coming. Been on that darned FedEWx truck since before dawn last friday!
And of course the bills for all that and everything else too. LOL

so far....
A 1981 vintage set of the Time Life Photo books.
A 50's era Brownie Hawkeye Cam passed down from the in-laws. Really disapointed that the snaps broke clean off while said in-law was trying to open the original case. Should have realized it would need some care.
A polaroid Spectra System, also in-laws. Battery still works amazingly. Wonder where to get new cartridges...
Weird toys (which are a hobby of mine)
Izod Fleece jacket.
More to come, I have too much family. Two more rounds to go, biggest for last after new-years.
oh, gift card to Ritz/Wolf camera.

Got lots of good stuff. At the top of my list is a 3 pack of Disneyland annual passports for my family, a 40gig portable hard drive (no cf card input though darnit!), a really cool book on Manzanar relocation camp with photos by Ansel Adams (a sad part of US history that place is), lots of other nick-nacks.
I gave out more than I received, which is a great feeling. Of course I love to get presents, but I get such a good feeling when I get a present for somebody that they really like and that is much better than any present I could receive. |
