You're up there in the midst of some great photos, you should take a bow. :) Good job and congrats. There should be a prize if you can submit a photo that's >= to 9.0 the submitter gets $1000 or something.

The moment I saw that shot I gave it a 10; rare for me, I'm a "sorter", After I'd made first-pass voting on all tnetries I revisited this one and said to myself, "If this shot does not get the blue there's absolutely no rhyme or reason to DPC voting."

WTG Skip on one of the great scores of all time, and WTG voters for recognizing it :-)

excellent result Skip I had this as the top shot for this challenge and new I wasn't going to get first this time.... I just wish you had entered the cheese challenge as I wanted a blue before I upgraded my camera :)

Dude, I was so Happy to get in on the top 10 on that one:)

Man... That's 103 10's there :-) Closest I've found, so far, is JJ's 98 10's for his self portrait this year. I suspect this is a record for "most 10's in a challenge" :-)

holy smokes! never saw this on the horizon!! i am absolutely stunned.

thanks to all of you, the voters, the commentors, the viewers, d&l, my family, the members of the academy, but most importantly, all you photographers that contribute to this site! your collective works have inspired and taught me over the past year or so, and i am humbly honored to be able to put it all together in an image such as this. thanks, from the bottom of my heart!

The image has charmed and electrified the DPC crowd. It is like the home run way out of the park. The delicate beauty contained within this frame will remain an outstanding addition to the archives. But most important, it belongs on walls. Sell it.

Lovely analogy, Daniel. Precisely so! The out-of-the-park homer, the round of 59 in a major, a 19-strikeout no-hitter :-)

Skip, you are way too modest. Your talent speaks for itself in this masterpiece. I am at a loss for words to try to explain how beautiful that shot is. Great job!

I remember seeing this shot and thinking it was too subtle and delicate to get the score it deserved. In this case I'm glad I was wrong. Amazing shot gets great score! Congratulations Skiprow!
