My BF used to do the website for Donovan Bailey (Canadian track & field star & Olympian). I met him in 2000 and had my picture taken with him then, met him again a few years later.

In addition to the Bill Murray experience, I've had the opportunity to meet quite a few others thanks to an 11-year radio career. I've met Bruce Springsteen, Styx, Hank Williams Jr., Chicago, the Damn Yankees, Alabama... my wife and I hung out with Quiet Riot in their hotel room once. That was a rather weird experience.

Here are a few (rather disturbing) shots from some of those experiences... with Trisha Yearwood, Alan Jackson, Huey Lewis, Ted Nugent, Tiffany (of all things...), and Jodie Sweetin (from the TV show "Full House"):

Very few probably heard of him but I met and had my picture with my favorite author Max Lucado and the really cool part is that he owns one of my images.

I did a panoramic of Willow Community Church here in Barrington, Illinois and gave it to him when he came and spoke one time. When ever I see pictures of him I look around hoping maybe my picture is in the background or something lol. My wife was on the cell phone while I met him and she almost died hearing him speak lol. She loves him too.

I've also met a few Christian singers during met and greets before concerts but no images.

I spent two months on the road with the band who were my childhood (well, from 16-ish) heroes - the first music I'd heard that I knew was going to stay with me for the rest of my life. The band split in 1978, and I genuinely thought I'd never even get to hear the songs played live ... let alone get to work with them, travel with them, gig with them.

Photos from the summer part of the tour are here - provided you're not using Firefox, that is.

Still can't quite believe it.

Through work I have met Jason Priestley, Candice Bergen, Ethan Hawke, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Jerry Orbach and James Brown's band/singers. Almost got a chance to meet Tom Selleck too. Of them all, Jason Priestley was the nicest.

I met Frank Zappa at a party in Philly. Also Rusty Wallace at a convention. And partied backstage with a band that didn't last too long, Black Oak Arkansas (Jim Dandy fame). I can't remember the singer's name but he loved my husband's leather hat, my husband gave it to him and he had a picture done in it.

Yes! Very down to earth, and also his buddy Luke Perry.

OMG TELLLLLLL!!!!!!!

We were 12 years old, so there's not much to tell, if you know what I mean...

I drank beer with Tex Ritter and Roy Clark at the famous Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado. Also, I met Lee Marvin on the a double-chairlift and skiied the rest of the day with him in Vail.

I've met Dave Matthews a couple of times.
Once we stayed in the same hotel as the band and once me and my girlfriend got to go to a "meet and greet" before one of the shows.
Disposable cameras only were allowed.
I put my arm around Dave and held out the camera-hence the poor quality and look of terror on his face!!!

I used to work at a sporting good store in San Diego back in college and while working there I met:

1. Oprah Winfrey
2. M.C. Hammer and his huge entourage.
3. Tony Robbins (motivational speaker)

And while working at a Music Management company I had the opportunity to meet a few folks, mostly producers (and most probably not that recognizable):

4. Dwight Yoakam
5. Pete Anderson (producer & Dwight's guitar player)
6. Sean Slade & Paul Kolderie (producers)
7. Jim Dickinson (producer & musician)
8. The North Mississippi Allstars
9. Chuck Prophet
10. Jules Shear

Oh, and Mario Lopez (Saved by the Bell) when I was back in High School. My sister used to dance in competitions against him.

1) When we lived in Australia (over 30 yrs ago) I met and was punched by Skippy the kangaroo. I didn't sue.

2) My wife was knocked over while roller-skating in the street by Alex Ferguson in his Aberdeen days. She didn't sue.

3) I went to the same school as Radiohead (Andy Yorke, Thom's brother, was in my class). They played in a band called 'Never on a Sunday' then, I think. I have since been in contact with their management concerning the lack of a decent tambourine player in their line-up. No reply yet except for the injunction.

I also met M.C. Hammer (and his huge entourage) at my old company - we were doing a Web site for him in Philly. What a trip he is!

My BEST story though is... I sat across from Olivia Newton-John in first class from L.A. to Nashville around the holidays one year and we talked for much of the flight and even waited on our bags together (of course I wasn't going to let her out of my sight until I had to - LOL). She was so down to earth and sweet. I was on cloud 9 for MONTHS! She has always been one of my favorite people on the planet and then to have met her up close and personal... It was the BEST! I still get butterflies just thinking about it! ROFL

Also...
Went to a benefit in L.A. (back in the '80s) and sat at a table with John Ritter - he was hilarious and so gracious. Also very down to earth.

I've also met while living in Nashville (albeit very briefly) Dolly Parton, Boz Scaggs, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Lee Ann Womack, & Reba McEntire.

And...
Don't know if y'all watch the show Nip/Tuck, but I graduated with Dr. Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh - except I knew him as Charles or Chuck). We were both in the Theatre department at UVA. He's done a bunch of other stuff, but he's best known for this role.

PFFFFT!! Now I gotta clean orange juice of the monitor. Thanks a LOT!

I worked with Gerald McRaney (Major Dad), Michael Gross (from Family Ties) and Jason Scott Lee on a made for TV movie (I was Micheal's stand-in), worked on a commercial with the Unknown Comic, and sang for President Carter (I was 9 at the time). My great uncle was (is) the youngest pilot of the WWII Flying Tigers. I see glimpses of Paul Newman and Michael Bolton sometimes (both live within 2 miles of my office). I was asked (by their manager) to design an album cover for Steppenwolf. I got to see the comedian Richard Lewis go bonkers at the gate of a cancelled flight in LA while I calmy walked to another gate and got the last seat on the next flight.

The funniest was when I was standing in the lobby of a hotel in Chicago with a major sports fanatic. He was babbling away incessantly while I just smiled and nodded. When he finally asked what I was grinning at, I pointed out that he was standing 5 feet away from Alex Rodriguez. He nearly passed out.

Oh, and my parents have LOTS of celebrity friends and contacts in Nashville. When my mother did wardrobe for Kenny Rogers and Barbra Mandrell at the Country Music Awards, I got to say, "Aren't you a little old to be dressing Ken and Barbie?" ;-)

We have this great little music venue in St. Petersburg, FL. called Jannus Landing. Lots of up and coming bands play here and the great part is that after their show they mingle with the crowd and sign autographs. I met the guys from Breaking Benjamin - they were incredibly nice and also Jared Leto (the actor - Lord of War, Alexander, Panic Room, Fight Club, The Thin Red Line) who fronts the band 30Seconds to Mars. He wasn't so nice!

I played basketball with Greg Vaughn once (baseball player for the Brewers at the time). I served ice cream to Tom Trebelhorn (manager of the Milwaukee Brewers in the 80's).

When I was in high school (80's) we use to hangout in the skywalks in downtown Milwaukee that led to the Hilton after basketball games. We ran into and got to chit chat with several NBA players. We never asked for autographs or photos and no one else knew they used the skywalks, so they were usually very nice to us.

Nothing too big here...

Had dinner with Steve Largent at his house with his wife and kids. That will mean less outside Seattle, but he did get in the Hall of Fame and was a US congressman.

Took a plane ride with Diedrich Bader (best known as Oswald from Drew Carey). He sat in coach. Was willing to chat some. Nice guy.

One contact removed...good friends with a girl who went to kindergarten with Mindi Smith. Had a friend in residency who's uncle was Ollie North.
