This website doesn't do the pic and justice because I've uploaded it on Mpix and it comes in a lot clearer. Anyhow, I just want to know opinions on the lighting. It was taken at an easterly window during the morning. That's the only lighting I used, no flash.
Thanks

Oh and I did do some adjustments in psp. I wish jusspress came out clearer because it looks blurry on there but not so in psp.

The pose works very well and you've got the catchlight in her eyes. It does look a little too soft on the focus though.

so if I sharpened it would it be okay? I'm just trying to get some ideas as far as the lighting go. Because the room I took this in is really the only room with a lot of light because the north side of the house is so shaded.

Thank you for your input cp

It's really a little too blurry to work well. The pose is good, the facial expression is good, but I'm not sure sharpening will bring this to where it should be. I might crop it a little more off center, and give her a little more room in front of her face and less room behind her.

If you shoot it again, bring her farther away from the background and use a fill flash or reflector to avoid the shadow on the wall behind her.

I said above that it comes out blurry in jusspress- the website I upload to. I'm not sure why. It's not blurry like that in PSP nor does it come out blurry in the windows fax and picture veiwer.

Do you sharpen after you downsize the image for the web? If not, that could be part of the problem.

That's not downsized. I didn't resize that one actually. I sharpened ect, but didn't resize.

You didn't shoot at that size, right? The website probably has a limit for the size of images posted and resizes any that are bigger. If you resize yourself it will probably come out much better.

i took a bunch more today- as many as she would let me lol. I'll get opinions on those later. I SO need a tripod!

Here are some more from this afternoon. I did use a fill flash this time and edited obviously. The first one is blurry but I love what I captured in her. I hope this works so you can see all of them without having to post the link for each photo.

The first one in that bunch (the one at the top) is definately a keeper. Also, the black and white works very well with the soft focus. I'd say those two are the best of the bunch.

thank you, you have been so helpful and sweet today lol. I'm so new to all this and I want to send out good ones. I need to order by this weekend so I have them to send out. I'll be taking a few more over her tomorrow if she'll let me lol. Her patience ran pretty thin today as did mine.
